General Assistance and Scholarships
Learn about the requirements and apply for support in your sports development. Download the necessary documents and send them to hello@caminoalplato.org. We offer sports scholarships, general assistance for teams and players, and donations of sports equipment for developing athletes.
Available Types of Assistance
Sports Scholarships
Description: The Fundación Camino al Plato offers scholarships for developing athletes. These scholarships are designed to support talented youth in their academic and athletic growth.
Requirements:
✔ Be under 18 years old.
✔ Be enrolled in a school with a minimum GPA of 2.75.
✔ Have played on a baseball or softball team in the last 18 months.
✔ Submit at least two (2) letters of recommendation (from teachers, coaches, scouts, professional or college players).
General Assistance
Description: Support in obtaining sports equipment, registrations, and other resources related to athlete development.
Requirements:
✔ Submit a cover letter explaining the need.
✔ Attach quotes, invoices, or registration documents (as applicable).
✔ For organizations, a Certificate of Good Standing issued by the Puerto Rico Department of State must be included.
✔ For requests over $5,000, additional financial information may be requested.
